My Application

During 15 years of my work in IKEA, having different roles and responsibilities, I was getting knowledge, experience, learning new skills and collecting contacts, which became the cornerstone of my company.

I started as a social and environmental co-coordinator and auditor in East Central Europe.

I was supporting suppliers in implementing IKEA code of conduct’s requirements (IWAY) in the area of environment protection, health& safety, fire safety, social responsibility and business ethic.

My next step was a job in Sweden in The Compliance and Monitoring Group department.

Leading compliance audits and assessing performance of other IKEA auditors in Europe, North America and Asia I became familiar with auditing skills and collected many practical solutions useful in implementing and maintaining IWAY Standard and sustainability rules.

My new competence allowed me to become a sustainability manager in South East Asia.

It was a time of intensive work related not only to implementation of IWAY Standard at IKEA suppliers and auditing, but first of all initiating rules of sustainability, which are so essential in the modern business. Me and my team were learning from the best available sources, but also from own mistakes. We were organizing workshops and trainings. We were developing methods and tools dedicated for suppliers with the purpose of creating competitive factories, friendly for people, and environment.

Although I don’t work for IKEA any more, I feel I’m still its ambassador. My capital is the knowledge, experience and contacts. My portfolio includes compliance audits, implementation and maintenance of IWAY Standard, and improving performance of manufacturers and service providers in accordance with sustainability rules.
